The cabin was clean, well-equipped, spacious, warm, and cozy. Our family reunion was enjoyable both in the cabin and in Yellowstone. The weather was cool with a little snow and the cabin was a welcome retreat. Thanks for making the cabin such a great place to stay. Hopefully we will be able to return.

We had a great experience. We rented Old Fathful Lodge and West Yellowstone Cabin. It fit the needs of our family perfectly. Thanks for allowing people like us to enjoy these facilities.

It was the 5th time I’ve stayed with you at the Two Top Cabin and it was again a great experience.

Canyon Adventures (800-520-7533):

It was fun. The horses were on their first trip of the year so they were slightly over weight (approximate 300 pds). The guide Melissa was great and knew all the horses’ personalities. The trip lasted about two hours, which is just perfect if you haven’t ridden before. The scenery was nice and you get a great view when you get to the top of a very large Butte. The horses liked to play in the water as you cross the river. Bring a camera for pictures when you get to the top. We did the horseback riding in the morning and then we did the river rafting in the afternoon (with Geyser Whitewater Expeditions). Plenty of time to grab lunch.

ATV trails in Idaho and Montana are super and I had the good fortune to ride the Continental Divide as well as riding from Island Park to West Yellowstone.

If you like waterfalls, Mesa Falls is outstanding. At the Upper Mesa Falls lookout the walkway takes you right to the brink of the falls. It was amazing.

Geyser Whitewater Expeditions (800-914-9031):

What an experience !! The weather was perfect for the time of year (May). The guides were very friendly and fun. The Geyser team was top of of the line. The equipment is new and up-to-date and it gives you the feeling of a top notch business. We had so much fun. The rapids averaged category 3 and some category 4s. The trip on the water lasted about 2 1/2 hours. There were some parts that were calm and it gave you an opportunity to rest from paddling and enjoy the scenery!! The movie “A River Runs Through It” was filmed there and you can understand the beauty of it all. I even got to jump off a bridge halfway through the trip! I recommend you go and see Eric (the owner) and sign up. It will be an experience you will not forget. I also want to point out that I had my Mother and Father with us, they are in their late 50s, and they had a blast as well.

If you’re limited on time in Yellowstone, do the northern loop. Other than bison and elk, which were also on the southern loop, this is where we spotted black and grizzly bears, big horn sheep, and a wolf. If you hate crowds, stay away from Old Faithful. I spent a couple of days there 40 years ago as a child and loved it. It had a “woodsy-down home” feel back then. This time it felt like Disney Land. . . . With the exception of Mammoth Hot Springs, the north loop was everything I remembered. Mammoth Hot Springs has all but dried up but still provides an excellent display of what nature can do over time.
